Well since this will probably be my last comment I figured I'd say how much fun we had this past Saturday at the Bowmanstown rod and gun club block shoot. Those of you who haven't come with us up there yet don't know what you're missing. But there's still two more chances to go, they're always on the first Saturday of the month (October thru April) and always noon to 5 PM. It was nice to see the lone wolf ladies shooting, you'll do better next time Kathy, and there was a shoot-off between two of the lone wolf guys (Matt and Rick) Congrats to 'the judge' for winning $36 bucks!!! Not bad considering that was the 1st time he shot his gun.

Thought I'd better get this up before Karin 'kills' this page.
Saints be praised, Yvonne is going to do her infamous list for another year!!!! Wahoo!! As soon as I heard the terrible news I sent out a bunch of emails to every cruiser I know asking them to send Yvonne a "Please don't go" email, it musta worked because I got 2 emails last night, 1 from the Road Warrior who himself sent a very nice "Please Stay" letter to her, and one from The Auto Lady saying that she's doing it again and to please send her our 2010 schedule. So that's what I did this AM and I thought I'd spread the good news here, because I know sooooooo many of you depend on this page, no matter what Karin says (though if she decides to 'kill' this page I'm sure she has good reason to do so). Now for a little seriousness, there's a lot of people out there who find fault with Yvonne for her site, let me make one thing perfectly clear, she does this because she WANTS to NOT because she HAS to and if we all pick pick pick and piss and moan at her for the shortcomings of her site she's going to not do it seriously next time so let's please remember that none of us are in perfect health and if our shortcomings cause those 'perfect' people to pick on us, well then there's a perfectly good reason for 'biting the mailman'. Lay off of her, okay?? She's doing the best she can, and if I hear that someone is picking nits w. her well then it's me they'll have to deal with and believe me, I can be a very bad dog.

Hey 'Pick',

Yeah, I know about Yvonne, very sad. I sent a bunch of emails off to people I know telling them all about it. Maybe I sent you one?? Not sure, I don't have someone named Pickles in my address book, unless you're using an aka, which is okay too.

Oh yeah, the PA Farm Show is going on from the 9th till the 16th, if anyone is interested in breaking the winter doldrums with the largest farm show in the country, this is the place to be!! I'm going on Sat the 9th for a bunch of reasons, not the least of which is the PAHS Rodeo. I've seen it on PCN for years now and every time I do I swear that the next year I want to see it live, well this year I'll have a shot. It's really quite amusing, a bunch of HS kids getting the snot beat out of them by the animals, and it's not for lack of trying, these kids do just that, try. Try really hard to not give their dentists a reason to put their teeth back in. So if anyone is interested in going, not just on Sat. but any other day too, give me a shout. I'll be more then happy to go back out there for the day. And finally,

I know you people read this site (I can see the statistics), though why no one but me and a few others comment on anything is beyond me, and I know I've said this before so much that I'm beginning to sound like a broken record, but I'll say it anyway, say something!!!!!!!!!!! It doesn't have to be a joke, just let me know that someone out there is cold, hot, miserable, bored, tired, depressed, whatever and I'll keep this page functioning, otherwise I'm going to let it expire in Feb.. And that is no joke.

have you heard?? yvonne keller isn't doing her auto events list anymore, says her health is more important, not to mention the whiners and complainers were taking a toll on her. i'm sad to see her go. this is not a joke, she's really done with it. there were tons of us who went to her site throughout the summer to see what was happening and now what are we supposed to do? i know a few auto event sites but none as user friendly as hers. i guess i'll keep checking my favorite sites for their schedules and as for anything extra, looks like it's going to be a light year for me. sigh

Happy Holidays To One And All!!!!!!!!!

First, I just want to say that I hope everyone out there in www-land has been good this year, remember Santa is watching!! Personally I think that anyone who can see you when you're sleeping, knows when you're awake, and who plays with elves, is of questionable character but that's just me and I've been very good, just incase he checks out our website. ;-) And now for the good, great, wonderful news!!! WE HAVE A NEW PLACE FOR A 1ST FRIDAY MONTHLY CRUISE!!! After the cruisin' season was over, that's when the real work began, we started pounding the pavement and doing some research on finding some place to hold a Friday car cruise, and we've done it!! Are you ready?? Drum roll please........ The Bowmanstown Rod and Gun Club!!!!!!!!! It's awesome people, I'm telling you honestly. We went to a whole bunch of places but the Bowmanstown R&G Club was the most deserving of a outlaw group like us (haha). They are just about the nicest bunch of people I have ever met and very willing to work with us. So starting April 2nd bring your blankees people 'cuz that's where we'll be. And here's the best part, any place you can bring your cars, your guns (you do have to be a member of the gun club to use the range/s), and have a good meal (just about everything on the menu is less than $10 bucks!!) is alright with us. There's plenty of grass with nice shade trees and if that gets full we can start parking on the asphalt. During the past few weeks we have brought them anywhere from 8 to 20 people and not one order was messed up. Everything was great, but I would ask that, during our cruise nights, everyone not overwhelm them with everybody going in to eat all at once. Their Friday night dinners are from 4-8 pm and open to the public so if anyone is curious about it, check them out. The address is; 525 Club Rd in Palmerton, phone # 610 852 4051. Conveniently located just off of Rt. 248 (past the Bowmanstown exit but before you get to Parryville or past the Parryville exit but before Bowmanstown, depending on which way you come), it's less than 1 mile up Club Road on the right. And did I mention BREAKFAST?!? Breakfasts are served on the 3rd Sunday of the month from 9-1 PM, buffet style with all sorts of yummy deliciousness. So If you're on your way to a show and going past us, why not stop in and get a quick bite before you get on your way, we'll be there (though the Sunday cruises will be WAY informal, no dash plaques, door prizes etc). So I went ahead and posted our 2010 cruise schedule, with more detail for April and May (June through Oct. will be posted soon. If I give my web developers the whole thing all at once, well there's just too much of a chance for a misprint and then it becomes a hassle to get it fixed). And it's ONLY the cruise schedule, the shows we are planning are still in the works and hopefully an announcement about 'em will be made before the end of January. OMG, I can't believe another year is almost over and happy I will be to say adios to 2009, most of it was terrible. I have also said something about our new 'hidden treasure' on the blog page, so if anyone has anything to say about it, or anything in general, say it there!!

Please be safe this holiday season, I've seen WAY too many fires on the news. So what does everyone think of our new Friday night 'hangout'?? I really hope you all enjoy it. Personally I am hoping that we can start having car cruises there starting in April (like maybe late-ish April). We have 2 board meetings to go through next week (and another in January) to find out just how interested these places are in having us at their locations and, if all goes well, we can start planning the 2010 cruise schedule. If we've missed inviting anyone to our new hangout, email us and tell us, everyone is welcome!!

Now for a joke, this was forwarded to me by Road Warrior (now why he didn't submit it himself is a mystery to me) so if it's not funny, take it up with him. Ready?? Here we go;

Two sisters, one blonde and one brunette, inherit the family ranch.
Unfortunately, after just a few years, they are in financial trouble.
In order to keep the bank from repossessing the ranch, they need to purchase a bull so that they can breed their own stock.

Upon leaving, the brunette tells her sister, 'When I get there, if I decide to buy the bull, I'll contact you to drive out after me and haul it home.'

The brunette arrives at the man's ranch with $600.00 in her pocket, inspects the bull, and decides she wants to buy it.
The man tells her that he will sell it for $599, no less.
After paying him, she drives to the nearest town to send her sister a telegram to tell her the news.
She walks into the telegraph office, and says, 'I want to send a telegram to my sister telling her that I've bought a bull for our ranch..
I need her to hitch the trailer to our pickup truck and drive out here so we can haul it home.'

The telegraph operator explains that he'll be glad to help her, then adds, it will cost 99 cents a word.
Well, after paying for the bull, the brunette realizes that she'll only be able to send her sister one word.

After a few minutes of thinking, she nods and says, 'I want you to send her the word 'comfortable.'

The operator shakes his head. 'How is she ever going to know that you want her to hitch the trailer to your pickup truck and drive out here to haul that bull back to your ranch if you send her just the word
'comfortable?'

The brunette explains, 'My sister's blonde. The word is big.
She'll read it very slowly.... 'com-for-da-bul.'

I got one,

Quazimoto (the hunchback of Notre Dame) was going to retire so he puts an ad in the local paper. A few days go by and he hears a thumping at the door. He walks down the bell tower stairs to the door and upon opening the door he sees a midget standing there with no arms and no hands. Quazi asks "Can I help you?" The midget responds "I'm here for the job." Quazi looks him over and says "You have no arms and no hands, how the heck are you going to ring the bell?" "Gimme a chance," says the midget " I'm sure I can do it." OK so the 2 of em walk up the bell tower stairs and the midget says "Watch this." He stands back a few feet and runs at the bell hitting it with his head!! Quazi says "Hmmm, that wasn't bad but it wasn't loud enough, can you do better?" Midge (short for midget) says "Sure, just stand back and gimme room." So this time he stands as far back from the bell as he can and runs full boar at the bell. This time he hits it with such force that he riccochets off the inside of the bell, the bell tower, and ends up flying out the window. Amazed at this, Quazi looks down to see a crowd had gathered around the body, so he walks down the stairs and goes over to the little man. One of the local towns people says to Quazi "Do you know this guy?" And Quazi responds "No, but his face rins a bell." HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

The joke isn't over yet, oh no.
